Growing up, I was lucky to have a very involved dad. My dad is one of my best friends. Not too long ago, my dad was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), the "nastiest disease you've never heard of" according to 60 Minutes. This means that his brain is shrinking, he'll revert to child like behavior and need long term care, and, shortly, he won't remember who I am at all. However, that isn't the real tragedy. My dad was a business owner but never had a good #advisor. Currently, he has a $300K term life policy, a 401(k) that is 1/3 of what it should be, a house, and #socialsecurity. With Medicare, due to costs of #longtermcare, he is staring down the barrel of financial failure in the twilight of his life. Because of this, I am passionate about helping business owners plan so that what might happen to my family and their business, need not happen to yours
