Trauma Informed Care - Trauma Informed Approaches to Mitigate Trauma and Build Resilience.
Trauma is very prevalent in our communities and with our children. Even if your own children have not suffered a significant trauma, it is very likely their peers have.
During this session, we will talk about the prevalence of trauma and its impact on the brain. We will talk about upstream community efforts that can help buffer children and community members from the impacts of trauma (depression, anxiety, substance use).

Expert Alfonso Ramirez, Trauma Informed/Restorative Justice Coordinator with the Tigard Tualatin School District will lead us strategies to help us position ourselves to best invest in our youth.
