DESCRIPTION:Trauma Informed Care - Trauma Informed Approaches to Mitigate Trauma and Build Resilience.\n\nTrauma is very prevalent in our communities and with our children. Even if your own children have not suffered a significant trauma\, it is very likely their peers have.\n\nDuring this session\, we will talk about the prevalence of trauma and its impact on the brain. We will talk about upstream community efforts that can help buffer children and community members from the impacts of trauma (depression\, anxiety\, substance use).\n\n\n\nRegister Today By Clicking HERE.\n\nExpert Alfonso Ramirez\, Trauma Informed/Restorative Justice Coordinator with the Tigard Tualatin School District will lead us strategies to help us position ourselves to best invest in our youth.\n\nSkills learned:\n\n\n	How and why a "trusted and supportive adult" is essential in youth development\n	Self-Regulation Tactics\n	Cognitive Problem Solving Skills\n\n\nWe will learn and share with each other as comfortable during this investment hour.\n\nAs a thank you for registering and attending\, the first 15 people registered will receive an electronic $10 Starbucks gift card at the close of our time together.\n\nInvite colleagues\, friends\, neighbors and all who are in a position to be a trusted and supportive adult as we seek enhancing ways we help build resilience opportunities to help our youth live their best lives.\n\n\n\n \n\nTualatin Together is a community based prevention coalition who dreams that all youth live to their full potential.
