Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, positive, and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Associate to support and contribute to our marketing efforts across both digital and offline channels. This entry-level role will be key in assisting with the production of marketing materials and social media content that showcase our commitment to a healthy, creative, and diverse environment, promoting our mission and core values while driving audience engagement. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 2-3 years of experience to grow their marketing skills in a vibrant, positive sporting and hospitable environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals across all marketing efforts.
- Trend Awareness: Learn about the latest digital and traditional marketing trends and best practices.
- Content Creation & Adaptation: Work with the Marketing Manager to develop engaging and original content (written, visual, and video) for digital platforms (social media, website, email) and assist in the creation and adaptation of content for offline materials (posters, flyers, signage).
- Social Media Support: Assist in managing and growing our social media presence across various platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Offline Collateral Assistance: Support the design, production coordination, and distribution of offline marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency.
- Community Engagement Support: Collaborate on strategies to engage with our online and offline community, fostering positive relationships and promoting goodwill.
- Campaign Assistance: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels to promote company initiatives and values.
- Website Updates: Contribute to website updates to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and reflective of our brand.
Required skills and traits:
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for various mediums (demonstrated through portfolio or writing samples).
- Understanding of social media platforms and a willingness to learn management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for storytelling and RECS's mission.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Aptitude for learning new digital tools and a basic understanding of marketing concepts.
- Scrappy, can-do attitude with passion for learning and leveling up your skills
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Canva basics).
- Some experience with video editing and production (even personal projects).
- Exposure to email marketing platforms (through coursework or internships).
- Familiarity with web analytics basics.
