1) The Role and Purpose of the Spine
2) Chiropractic is more proven by PubMed literature to improve visceral & system physiology than musculoskeletal neck and back pain
3) Abnormal Spinal Mechanics (vertebral subluxation) interferes with the CNS and directly affects the GI tract, immunity, stress hormones, aging, neuro-degeneration, and much more.
4) There is no replacement or alternative for Spinal Adjustive Care to improve or maximize human physiology if improper spinal mechanics exists
Dr. Kimberly Guthrie - Body in Balance Wellness Center
There is no question in Dr. Guthrie’s mind that she has chosen the right profession to fulfill her life purpose. From the start, the principles and philosophies of chiropractic perfectly aligned with her core beliefs about the body’s inner wisdom, the power which allows the body to self-heal and self-regulate.
Dr. Guthrie began her studies at Eastern Oregon State College and graduated from Western State’s Chiropractic College with her doctorate in 1998. She has advanced certification in the treatment of Whiplash and TMJ trauma. Dr. Guthrie has also completed a 100-hour Wellness Physician Certification program through the International Chiropractic Association, making her one of the few Wellness Physicians in the country.
Education is Dr. Guthrie’s passion and she lectures on a wide variety of wellness topics related to the concepts of moving, thinking and eating for optimal health. In her practice she helps many patients with health issues including autoimmune, hormone, neurotransmitter and thyroid dysfunction. In addition, she is a sought-out speaker on the topic of growing healthy children.
Dr. Guthrie and her husband live in the Portland Metro area. They have three daughters, Jessica, Jennifer and Riley. She follows her own professional advice in her household, choosing a natural approach and refraining from keeping over the counter and pharmaceutical medications in the home. She instead relies on nature’s best pharmacy, the power within the human body.
