Anyone can put together a presentation using PowerPoint. The question is, how to make a presentation and not to bore your audience to death. Presenter/Librarian/PowerPoint Guru Vivien Lorelied will show you tips and tricks to take your presentation to the next level.

Learn about working effectively with the media, publicizing your program, identifying program sites, how to propose a program to the library and more! We will have a representative from Pamplin Media, who produces the Tualatin Times, as well as multi-media reps to share how they promote events and what events they promote.

Have a presentation that you need to practice? Join us for that very opportunity. A Lightning talk is a short presentation given at a conference or similar forum. Unlike other presentations, lightning talks last only a few minutes and several will usually be delivered in a single period by different speakers. You will be given five minutes to present your topic.
