Bronnie Griffin - Brongaene (Bronnie) Griffin, is a highly talented fiddle player from Portland, Oregon. A classically trained violinist, Bronnie was a prodigy champion fiddler, who at a young age, changed her genre from Old-Time and Bluegrass to playing exclusively Irish music, but since then has rejuvenated old repertoire and added new to include all three genres. After a short vacation in Ireland she moved there where she stayed for ten years honing her skills. Beginning her career busking, she learned from, and paid great attention to, the great fiddlers of that country but at the same time retained her broad sound, which had won her so many competitions as a child. She returned to the states and has performed regularly around the country sharing the stage with such musical greats as Gerry O'Beirne, Johnny B. Connolly, Nancy Conescu and Kevin Burke. Bronnie's playing is known for a strident and rich tone all her own, where her Old-Time undertones always come through. Buy local, support local, live local
