DESCRIPTION:Ice Age Floods Institute presents an all-day fun and educational geology and wine tasting tour. \n\nThe tour will explore the unique geology between West Linn and Salem. We will examine features related to a remarkable history of Quaternary flooding (Cataclysmic Missoula Ice Age Floods).\n\n \n\nSome highlights of the trip include: Tonquin flood channels\, Chehalem Creek flood channel and ripple marks\, Yamhill - Wapato flood channel\, Holmes Gap flood channel\, ripple marks.  Erratic Rock State Natural Site - Bellevue Erratic which is perched just above the 300 foot level and gives one an appreciation of the 400 foot maximum flood depth.
