SUMMARY:Memorial Day Observance
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Memorial Day commemoration at Winona Cemetery starts at 10:45 am on May 25.  The honored vet and featured speaker is retired Marine Lieutenant Colonel Norb Murray who\, as a helicopter pilot\, flew 820 Vietnam combat missions.  He also served as "Helo One" pilot for three US Presidents.\n\n               \n\nMarine Aviation Cadet Norb Murray in 1965\n\nIn Vietnam\, Norb flew a CH334 helicoper with the "evil eyes" of HMM-163.\n\n\n\nParticipants include Mayor Lou Ogden\, the Tualatin Police Honor Guard\, TVFR crew with squirt 34\, Hayley Rouseselle  singing the National Anthem and concludes with a WWII submariner blowing "Taps" on a trumpet.\n\n\n\nImmediately following this ceremony\,  the VFW Mens Auxiliary will be providing a free good old fashioned picnic at the Tualatin Community Park.
