DESCRIPTION:Improving passenger rail in Oregon\n\n \n\nThe Oregon Passenger Rail project is studying options for improved passenger rail service between the Columbia River in the Portland urban area and the Eugene-Springfield urban area   an approximately 125 mile segment. The Oregon Department of Transportation is in the beginning stages of a study process that will help determine a general passenger rail alignment and communities where stations will be located.
