SUMMARY:3rd Annual First Responder 5k
DESCRIPTION:First Responder 5k is a non-profit Fun Run/Walk that raises money for the American Red Cross Cascades Region.  100% of the proceeds raised will be donated directly to the American Red Cross Cascades Region disaster relief team.  This event is about bringing awareness to our First Responders\, raising money for our local American Red Cross\, as well as Preparedness.  New this year we will hold a "Go-Bag" building feature to our race where throughout the run you can stop at checkpoints for items to start building your go-bag.  Fire Fighters\, Police Officers\, Washington County Sheriffs\, Red Cross Volunteers\, Armed Forces\, EMTs\, Paramedics\, and many more will be in attendance. \n\n\n\nThere will be a Preparedness Fair which will include snacks\, handouts\, preparedness information\, water and much more.  Please come and join us to show appreciation to our local Emergency Responders\, raise money for the American Red Cross\, and learn tips from the professionals on how to prepare your home\, business\, and family for a variety of disasters.\n\n\n\nOur first year we were able to raise $10\,000 and last year $12\,000.
