SUMMARY:2021 #WorkReady Virtual Job Fair
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Tigard-Tualatin School District\, the Tualatin and Tigard Chambers of Commerce are helping to host a virtual job fair on Wednesday\, May 26 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nThis job fair is designed for businesses who have job openings where they could employ students between the ages of 16-18 on an hourly\, seasonal\, full or part time basis. \n\n\n\nMore details to come\, but TTSD will be hosting an access point for students who are seeking jobs to meet with local businesses. Participating employers need to be actively ready to hire students in the immediate future. \n\n \n\nInterested businesses/employers will be asked to fill out a survey/form about what types of jobs are available\, what restrictions there are (age\, skills\, etc.)\, pay range\, and other details.  They will also include what type of virtual platform they will use to interact with interested job seekers on that day.  There will be recommended platforms to use.\n\n\n\nTTSD will then build a website where students can learn about the jobs and businesses and go directly to breakout rooms hosted by businesses on the day of the job fair to learn more and talk about next steps. \n\n\n\nClick HERE to Register as a Participating Business.
